D2 Cranes Delivers 120-Ton Double Girder Crane to Rayong Steel Mill

D2 Cranes successfully delivered the installation of a 120-ton double girder crane on schedule to a steel mill in Rayong province. This project was one of the most challenging undertakings for the company in the past year.

The crane was custom-designed for the high-temperature environment of the steel melting area, featuring heat-resistant components, specialized wire ropes, and protection systems engineered for continuous operation at Duty Class M7-M8.

A key highlight of this project was the installation of an Intelligent Electrical Cubicle with a PLC/HMI system for fault diagnostics and real-time operation monitoring, enabling the maintenance team to plan repairs more efficiently.

The operator cabin is equipped with air conditioning for operator comfort in the high-temperature environment, along with redundant emergency braking systems for maximum safety.

Since delivery, the crane has operated continuously for over 18 months with zero unplanned downtime, confirming the reliability of D2 Cranes' engineering design and installation quality.
