Challenge
A frozen food export factory needed cranes for handling pallets of raw materials and finished goods across normal room temperature and -18 degrees Celsius cold rooms. The cranes had to work across temperature zones without condensation issues.
Solution
D2 Cranes designed dual-zone single girder cranes with cold insulation at temperature transition points, anti-condensation heating, and materials rated for both hot and cold environments.
Scope of Work
- 4 dual-zone single girder cranes (3-5 ton capacity)
- Cold insulation at zone transition points
- Anti-condensation heating system
- Food-grade materials for hot and cold environments
- Electrical cables rated -25 to +40 degrees Celsius
- System testing across all temperature zones
Result
The dual-zone cranes operated smoothly across temperature zones without condensation issues. Transfer time between production zones and cold rooms was reduced by 50%.
