Challenge
A river bridge construction project needed a gantry crane for lifting prestressed concrete bridge girders up to 60 tons. The crane had to operate outdoors in all weather conditions and place girders on piers with precision.
Solution
D2 Cranes designed a large outdoor gantry crane with weather protection, micro-speed hoisting for precision girder placement, and wind speed sensors with automatic stop systems.
Scope of Work
- 1 outdoor gantry crane (60 ton capacity)
- VFD micro-speed hoisting system

- Rail clamping system for wind protection
- System commissioning and construction team training
Result
All 24 bridge girders were placed on schedule with positional accuracy within 5 millimeters tolerance. Zero safety incidents occurred throughout the project.
