Polymer Plant - Big Bag and Equipment Handling Crane

Challenge
A plastic resin plant needed cranes for handling big bags of plastic pellets up to 2 tons and maintenance equipment for extruders. The environment had plastic pellet dust and heat from the melting process.
Solution
D2 Cranes supplied single girder cranes with dual electric chain hoists on the same rail - one for light big bag handling and another for higher-capacity maintenance work. Dust protection systems were installed.
Scope of Work
- 4 single girder cranes (2 and 10 ton capacity)
- Dual electric chain hoists on same rail
- IP55 plastic dust protection system
- Pendant remote with hoist selection buttons
- Runway beam and support structure installation
Result
The dual hoist system enabled quick switching between big bag handling and maintenance tasks. Production line downtime for maintenance was reduced by 35%.
