Challenge

An oil refinery needed explosion-proof cranes for distillation column maintenance in hazardous areas. Heavy components had to be lifted in confined spaces, complying with ATEX Zone 1 standards.

Solution

D2 Cranes designed an ATEX Zone 1 explosion-proof gantry crane with Ex-proof wire rope hoists. All electrical systems were explosion-proof with special grounding systems.
