Power Plant - Turbine Hall Crane
Energy & Power - Central Region, Thailand
Challenge
A natural gas power plant required a high-capacity crane for the turbine hall, for gas turbine installation and maintenance. The crane had to meet strict safety and precision requirements.
Solution
D2 Cranes designed a double girder crane with micro-speed hoisting, tandem lift capability, and a full suite of safety features including load weighing, anti-sway control, and redundant braking systems.
Scope of Work
- 1 double girder crane (150 ton capacity)
- VFD micro-speed hoisting system
- Tandem lift control system
- Load weighing system with overload cutoff
- Redundant braking system
- Full system commissioning and load testing
Result
The crane completed the turbine installation ahead of schedule and now serves as the primary crane for annual turbine maintenance operations.
